As my last event serving as part of the UCLA Campus Events Commission, I had the pleasure of attending the LA Premiere of 22 Jump Street staring Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill and Dave Franco. UCLA was truly the perfect location to release such a college blockbuster. The movie was a hilarious in every way, check it out in Theaters everywhere June 13th 2014. Looking forward to the third sequel!
Hillary Clinton speaks at UCLA's Luskin Lecture Series
During my first week at UCLA, I went to a welcome rally where Bill Clinton spoke about the importance of voting and giving support to the local mayor at the time. Today, during my last week at UCLA, I had the privilege of hearing Hillary Clinton speak about the role of women, equality, entering the work force and changing the world. These two talks have framed my perspective entering college, and now leaving college. What a powerful and insightful event, one I'll never forget. #UCLA #Hillary2016
Breaking Bad's RJ Mitte
RJ Mitte speaks at UCLA about his journey as an actor, living with cerebral palsy and how we can be kinder to one another. He shared his hardships and spoke about the importance of supporting one another. RJ is currently an activist and ambassador for the Shriners Hospitals for Children, to learn more please visit the Shriners Hospital's for Children website. We can all learn from his compassion and altruism - what an incredible inspiration and role model to all.
Reddit Cofounder Alexis Ohanian!
Self-starter, entrepreneur and motivational speaker, Alexis Ohanian, speaks about his experiences in college and how he co-founded Reddit. Reddit has changed the way we share and communicate ideas through the internet. Reddit drives user-generated news links and fosters a space where noteworthy topics can become widely discussed around the world.
Stopping through UCLA promoting his new book 'Without Their Permission', Alexis and fellow bruin Ezra Klein share words of wisdom, advice and encouragement to college students with ideas. He discusses perseverance and having the courage to start new projects and pursue new ideas because everything has to start somewhere, and everything starts off "janky". It was a pleasure meeting him and his entrepreneurial spirit was truly infectious.
NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory
This fall, I have the privilege of working at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory as a Human Interfaces Designer. I am extremely excited for this opportunity and it is a true honor to work alongside some of the brightest minds of science and technology. I am extremely thankful for this experience and I look forward to the journey ahead. As a designer, I'll be working with the Missions Operations team in developing new software, tools and interfaces to control various robots and Mars Rovers.
Wentworth Miller
Prison Break star Wentworth Miller speaks at UCLA as an open Q & A. He discusses his life path to success, as well as how students can over come struggles. By sharing his personal hardships dealing with depression, being openly gay and attempting suicide at a young age, Miller sheds light on hard topics we often avoid and shares his strength and wisdom when dealing with tough times. He speaks about a world without prejudice and how we can take steps in the right direction to provide a community of support and a generation of compassion.
In addition to tackling deep subjects and the hardships of the entertainment industry, he also shared his fondest memories of being on Prison Break and some of his inspiring upcoming projects.
Adobe Systems Internship!
This summer, I have the pleasure of interning at Adobe Systems. I'm extremely excited for this opportunity since I've been an avid Adobe user for years now and I use products like Photoshop and InDesign on a daily basis!
One of the best things about the internship is that I'll be working at their San Jose headquarters and will be able to live and experience the Silicon Valley - tech mecca of the world!
I'll be working with a group of talented young designers. We are focused on bridging the gap between the consumer and the product via instructional learning content and beautiful interface design.

Facebook Intern Carnival
As an intern at Adobe, I was able to get an invitation to attend the Facebook Intern Carnival. Visiting the Facebook Headquarters was amazing, I was able to see Mark Zuckerberg in person, zip-line through the campus and relish in an evening of food and games!
Dean's Scholarship Award 2013
For the third year in a row I have been awarded the Dean's Scholarship Award for the 2013-2014 academic year! I am extremely grateful for the Donors of the Design Media Arts department for their generosity and continued support towards students. I am extremely honored to have received this award all three years at UCLA.
Thank you to the incredible faculty and advisors for recognizing my work ethic and progress throughout the year. The award is extremely validating to my process and passion for design, it will definitely continue to encourage me to produce only the highest standard of work I can.

Russell Brand
Russell Brand speaks at UCLA about his upcoming show and his ideas about iconic figures of history and the way media shapes our perception. His engaging, hilarious and spiritual talk was extremely refreshing. His analogies perfectly capture the essence of his ideas in a facetious yet powerful way. He was one of the most captivating speakers I have seen in a long while, it was a pleasure meeting him!

Neighborday is a local and global initiative to bring communities together around the world. The GOOD community is celebrating this new holiday by hosting over a thousand local events all over the world. The idea is simple, to bring people together to learn more about each other and the communities we live in. The larger goal is to heighten community involvement and raise awareness for local issues such as sustainability and healthy living.

Campus Events Commission (CEC)
This quarter, I'll be joining the Campus Events Commission (CEC) as a new member of the Media Production staff. Campus Events Commission is a branch of UCLA’s undergraduate student government focused on bringing fresh entertainment and happenings to the Bruin Community. Our variety of events includes free film screenings, concerts and speakers.
In the past, CEC has been responsible for obtaining speakers that range from Martin Luther King Jr. to Morgan Freeman and Michael Moore. More recently, emerging young leaders including Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Whitney Port and Kal Penn have spoke at our highly anticipated events.
As part of the Media Production, I'll be collaborating with others to produce promotional video content as well as event coverage. Stay tuned to see what we have in store!

Celebrating 15 Years of The Lion King!
This month is The Lion King on Broadway's 15th year! To celebrate this incredible feat an "Inside The Lion King" display is open to the public on Bryant Park. It is the first ever pop-up exhibition for Broadway show. If you are in New York between December 1st and 16th you should check it out!
I am so thankful to be able to have worked with the Disney Theatrical Group this summer in New York. Working for such incredible shows like The Lion King, Mary Poppins and Newsies has been truly inspiring and a dream come true to be a part of such an incredible production and creative team. I cannot be more thrilled that The Lion King continues to be such a hit success. Since my internship, The Lion King has grossed from over 1 million fan subscribers to nearly 1.7 million today! I am truly proud and honored to have worked with such amazing people.

The Walt Disney Company - Disney Theatrical Internship
This summer, I will be the first ever Design Intern to join the Disney Theatrical Group in New York. This is an incredible opportunity and I am truly honored to be the first pioneer of fresh new designs that will be seen all around Times Square, New York and online! I cannot wait to bring my passion and zeal for design to the Disney this summer!
Disney is truly a company I have always had an affinity to, I grew up inspired and a dreamer because of the imagination and creativity they instilled in me. It is a dream come true to work for them this summer and I can't wait to embark on this new adventure and see where my work takes me next.
Most recently, I designed the Facebook Timeline visuals for all of Disney On Broadway. Below is my design for The Lion King - the most successful Broadway musical of all time. The Lion King has been seen by over 60 million people, with over 1.1 million Facebook followers. Overnight, my design has already attracted over 800 Facebook likes. It is truly an artwork I am proud of, and Disney is truly a company I am proud to be a part of.
Thank you everyone who believed in me and made this opportunity possible. I honestly cannot wait to go to work everyday to see what I get to be doing next. This experience is surreal, my later works will be published in my portfolio! Stay tuned!

Dean's Scholarship Award
For the second year in a row, I have been selected to be a Dean's Scholarship Award Recipient. I am absolutely honored to be receiving this award. The selection is based on faculty recognition of academic commitment and excellence in the Design Media Arts department at UCLA.
I strive to tackle each class with as much zeal and diligence as I can, I am truly thankful that my hard work and passion for design has been recognized by the faculty and by the department. As a two-time winner, I truly want to thank everyone who recognize my creativity and I want to thank all who have inspired me over the years. Thank you for believing in my continued progress, and most importantly, thank you for believing in me and the work I produce.
I want to also thank all the amazing professors at the DMA department at UCLA that have guided my talents and really bloomed my skills as a designer. Finally, an extra big thank you to the Scholarship Donor.
26th ANNUAL JAZZ REGGAE FESTIVAL IS HERE!
At last, the 26th Annual JazzReggae Festival has arrived. This incredible event that features music, food and culture of Los Angeles has finally come. The event was extremely successful this year. It featured a diverse range of charismatic artists including: The Roots, Shaggy, Tarrus Riley, Booker T. Jones, Gary Clark Jr., Collie Buddz, Thundercat, Don Carlos, Alison Hinds, Kes the Band and Cris Cab.
I am extremely proud to be the Art Director for this incredible event. Some of the art includes large scale interactive sculptures, live art as well as gallery art. As the graphic designer for the event, my designs can be wildly seen in both online and street marketing, including large publications such as the LA Weekly.
Below are a few images from the event featuring sustainable sculptures, live art and great music - all made possible by a small group of UCLA students. The JazzReggae Festival is in fact the largest college-run festival nation-wide. This is a truly special event, and I am extremely proud to be able to be part of such an incredible festival and production.

The UCLA Undergraduate Science Journal features incredible undergraduate research carried out by students. My re-design for the publication gives the science journal a fresh, sleek, new modern look. As the 25th edition, the publication has never looked better.
